Husband of 'Chained Couple' Demands Contact Every Two Hours: 'If Late, I'll Kill You' (Marriage Hell)

The daily life of a couple known as the 'Chained Couple' was revealed in the latest episode of MBC's 'Oh Eun-young Report - Marriage Hell' (결혼지옥) aired on December 2, 2024. The episode showcased a wife who seeks constant reassurance of love and a husband who feels her demands are controlling.

During the show, the husband, who works at a hair salon, was seen anxiously glued to his phone, waiting for messages from his wife. He shared, "If I don't hear from her every two hours, I start to doubt and feel the need to check in with either a message or a call. I can't just stick to one form of communication; it has to be mixed."

He even played a recording of a call where his wife expressed her anger over not hearing from him for nearly three hours, shocking viewers with her intense reaction.

The husband, visibly anxious, was seen glancing at the clock and speeding home. He explained, "Even if we finish work at the same time, if I get stuck in traffic and arrive a bit late, she accuses me of stopping somewhere or deliberately delaying my return."

Upon arriving home, the husband immediately apologized to his wife, who responded with frustration, saying, "Are you saying it's okay to be late for work? I want to raise our child, not just wait for your messages. Your excuses sound like just that—excuses. Why don’t you ever consider what I want? (What I want is) a divorce!"

The husband was only about 10 to 20 minutes late that day, leading the wife to question, "If there are no customers, can't you leave a bit earlier?" leaving everyone stunned.
