H.O.T's Jang Woo-hyuk Opens Up About Marriage Thoughts

Jang Woo-hyuk, a member of the first-generation idol group H.O.T, has sparked interest with his recent comments about marriage. In a preview for the upcoming episode of MBN's reality variety show, Go Go (가보자GO) Season 3, set to air on December 21, Jang shared his thoughts on tying the knot. During the segment, host Ahn Jung-hwan asked him if he feels the need to get married. Jang responded, "I do think I should get married. These days, during fan meetings, fans tell me, 'Oppa, it's time to go now,'" sharing a humorous anecdote.
He noted that more fans are supportive of his marriage, and while he has considered it, he is cautious about entering a new environment if it doesn't feel right. Jang also mentioned that he has encountered negative opinions about marriage from those around him.
This topic has been on Jang's mind for some time. Previously, he appeared on TV Chosun's dating show, We Forgot About Love Season 2, where he actively participated in blind dates with non-celebrities. He expressed his concerns about the pressure of the concept, stating, "It's a very burdensome concept; I have a lot of worries and prioritize safety."
Jang revealed, "It's actually hard for celebrities to meet someone. I even considered using a matchmaking service," admitting that while he could easily agree to participate in a scripted show, 'We Forgot About Love' felt more genuine, leading him to deliberate before deciding to join.
Since then, he has kept his romantic life private. However, in a show called Filial Piety Village (효자촌), his mother expressed her worries about his marriage prospects, asking, "What is lacking that you can't get married?"
With this upcoming broadcast, fans are eager to hear Jang Woo-hyuk's direct thoughts on marriage. What will he reveal? Stay tuned to find out!
