Hong Jin-young Opens Up About Her Plastic Surgery Journey on 'Dolsing For Man'

Singer Hong Jin-young recently stirred up conversation after revealing that she has undergone plastic surgery three times. She appeared on the January 28 episode of SBS's 'Dolsing For Man' (신발 벗고 돌싱포맨), which featured a special segment on 'K-Trot Festival' with fellow artists Jin Sung, Hong Jin-young, Park Ji-hyun, and Yo-Yo Mi.

Viewers noticed a change in Hong Jin-young's appearance, which now exudes a more mature form of sexiness compared to her previous cute and sexy image. In past broadcasts, she has openly discussed her cosmetic procedures, including two nose surgeries, eyelid surgery, Botox, and dental laminates, during her appearance on MBC's 'Radio Star'.

During 'Dolsing For Man', Hong Jin-young humorously shared her expertise in estimating the costs of plastic surgery for others. When asked by Lee Sang-min if she was known for her ability to provide such estimates, she replied, "I can't say I haven't touched my face. I have enough experience with surgery that you can tell just by looking at me."

Kim Jun-ho then asked Hong Jin-young to evaluate the potential surgery needs of Lee Sang-min and Lim Won-hee. She advised, "It's better not to touch unique faces. If you must, focus on lifting."

While examining Lim Won-hee's face, she pointed out that to achieve a kinder appearance, he should consider reducing his cheek fat, which she referred to as 'bulldog cheeks', explaining that it can be treated with injections. She elaborated on the procedure, saying, "You can use fat-dissolving injections on both sides without making significant incisions on the forehead. Just a small incision at the hairline can help pull it back naturally while also using Botox."

Hong Jin-young also suggested that adding a little filler to the chin could enhance the overall look. She noted, "It would change the feeling naturally," surprising everyone with her insights.

When assessing Lee Sang-min, she mentioned that to appear younger, he might consider hair transplants, stating, "If the hairline is sparse, it can make you look older. This area needs to be filled in."

In addition to her cosmetic advice, Hong Jin-young shared a light-hearted story about a past romantic interest, revealing that a celebrity once asked for her number, leading to a friendly exchange. She recounted, "He said he wanted to treat me to a meal as a thank you for my help. I asked him to bring something delicious on the day of my music video shoot."

Reflecting on her appearance during the music video shoot, she said, "I wanted to show my best self, as that’s when I look the prettiest. He brought chicken, and since we were busy filming, I wanted to show the hardworking side of a woman. After that, we started dating."

In 2020, Hong Jin-young faced a hiatus due to allegations of plagiarism regarding her master's thesis from Chosun University, where she graduated in 2009. After a break of over a year and five months, she made her comeback in January 2022 and has continued her activities since then.
