On the January 2nd episode of KBS2's '박원숙의 같이 삽시다' (Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together), Hong Jin-hee opened up about a surprising incident from her past during a company dinner. When asked by Park Won-sook why she went to the Philippines, Hong revealed, "I wanted to retire at 40 because I thought that was old." She shared that her mother passed away at 46 after undergoing dialysis, which influenced her perspective on life. Reflecting on her mother's beauty, Hong stated that her mother was even more beautiful than she is and noted that they shared the same tone of voice. Hong also recounted a humorous yet frustrating experience at a gathering with broadcasting staff, where she was unexpectedly hit on the back of the head. In retaliation, she struck back, leading to a playful exchange. However, she mentioned that this incident ultimately affected her ability to work afterward.
