Hong Jin-hee Reflects on Her Late Mother in 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together'

In the latest episode of KBS2's 'Park Won-sook's Let's Live Together' aired on January 2, 2025, Hong Jin-hee expressed her deep longing for her mother, who passed away at the age of 46. During the show, Hong Jin-hee and Lee Kyung-ae began their lively cohabitation at the shared house. Hong Jin-hee shared nostalgic photos from her younger days, showcasing her impressive physique, which surprised the other cast members. When asked about the age of the photo, she revealed, 'I was 45. I feel very proud of it now, but I can't show that body anymore.'
The episode also featured a surprise appearance by Lee Kyung-ae's daughter, Hee-seo, who is preparing to study baking and pastry arts in Australia. Hee-seo shared that she is funding her studies with her own savings, which she earned by working part-time at her mother's shop.
When Park Won-sook inquired about Hong Jin-hee's trip to the Philippines, she explained, 'I wanted to retire by the age of 40, thinking it was an old age.' She added, 'My mother passed away at 46 after undergoing dialysis.' Reflecting on her childhood, Hong Jin-hee recalled thinking that 46 was a sufficient age to have lived. After turning 40, she decided to move to the Philippines, a place she had always wanted to live. This moment brought her to tears as she reminisced about her mother.
When asked if her mother was beautiful, Hong Jin-hee stated that her mother was even more beautiful than she is. She also noted that their voice tones were identical. Additionally, she mentioned that her mother underwent dialysis five times every two weeks.
