The comedy film Hitman 2 (히트맨2), directed by 최원섭, continues to reign at the top of the box office for seven straight days, maintaining its strong performance into February. As the highest-grossing film during the Lunar New Year holiday, Hitman 2 recorded 177,131 viewers on February 1 and 137,182 on February 2, surpassing a total of 1.96 million viewers. This impressive pace outstrips the 192,000 viewers achieved by the hit film Firefighter (소방관) on its 14th day of release by two days.

Since its premiere, Hitman 2 has engaged with audiences through official and guerrilla stage greetings, creating memorable experiences. In response to the overwhelming support, the film has confirmed additional stage greetings in its third week, targeting audiences in Seoul and the Gyeonggi region, suggesting that its box office success will continue.

The film follows a webtoon artist who, after experiencing a sudden fall from grace, finds himself embroiled in a series of events when a terrorist mimics his new webtoon. The cast includes 권상우, 정준호, 이이경, 황우슬혜, 김성오, and 이지원, with 최원섭 returning as director from the previous installment.
