On July 16, 2025, Lee Jin-sook (이진숙), the nominee for Minister of Education, addressed controversies surrounding her children's early study abroad in the U.S. and allegations of plagiarism involving her students during a confirmation hearing at the National Assembly's Education Committee in Yeouido, Seoul.
