Hello82's CEO Choi Jae-yoon Recognized as a 2025 Indie Power Player by Billboard

Choi Jae-yoon, the CEO of Hello82 (헬로82), has made his debut on Billboard's '2025 Indie Power Players' list. According to Billboard on June 10 (local time), Choi has been acknowledged for his remarkable achievements as a K-POP label in the United States, standing alongside leaders in the American music industry.
In a statement to Billboard, Choi shared, "In the past 12 months, we released eight albums, two of which reached number one on the Billboard 200. We have also expanded our business into regions including Europe and Mexico. Hello82 has become a platform where artists can discover new fans while engaging with their dedicated supporters."
Billboard annually selects the most influential figures in the music industry, excluding the major three companies (Universal, Sony, and Warner). Unlike large agencies that partner with existing major labels, Hello82 has been promoting and distributing albums for rising artists like ATEEZ (에이티즈) and P1Harmony (피원하모니) in the U.S. and Europe. Over the past year, they have produced two number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and four albums in the Top 20, leading to this recognition.
Billboard described Hello82 as a company that conducts local K-POP album releases, merchandise, marketing, and events for ATEEZ and P1Harmony, and has recently added a touring segment. Based in Los Angeles (LA), the company is continuously striving to connect with K-POP fans.
Additionally, the power list includes notable figures such as SM Entertainment's co-CEOs Jang Cheol-hyuk and Tak Young-jun, Pledis Entertainment's Han Sung-soo, Source Music's So Sung-jin, and Big Hit Music's Shin Seon-jung.
