Heizi's Emotional Reaction to Her Daughter's Health Check Results

Creator Heizi (강혜진) recently shared an emotional moment on her YouTube channel after receiving the results of her first daughter, Chae-yu's, health check-up. On June 15, she posted a video titled 'Tears and Confusion After the Health Check.' Heizi explained that Chae-yu was not feeling well and had to wake up after a short nap to go to the hospital, leading to a distressing experience. Initially, they thought she had a simple cold, but the doctor diagnosed her with otitis media and pharyngitis, which left Heizi feeling overwhelmed.

Heizi expressed her shock at the health check results, stating, "I feel so bad; I can't help but cry. When a child is sick, it feels like it's all my fault, and I wonder what I did wrong." She shared that Chae-yu ranked 12th in height, 7th in weight, and 29th in head circumference among 100 children. The doctor advised that if her ranking fell below 5th, a detailed examination would be necessary. Fortunately, Chae-yu's results were above that threshold, but Heizi was still advised to pay close attention to her diet.

Despite her efforts to ensure Chae-yu eats well, Heizi revealed that her daughter shows little interest in food, which brought her to tears. "I know how important nutrition is, and I try to feed her as much as possible, but she just isn't interested. It's confusing why this makes me cry," she said. Heizi noted that while other children eagerly ask for snacks, Chae-yu rarely does and has not been drinking much formula or milk.

Heizi lamented that despite her attempts, Chae-yu's weight has actually decreased since the last check-up. She explained that while many parents are advised to let their children eat when they're hungry, this approach only results in Chae-yu eating one meal a day. The doctor emphasized that Chae-yu needs to eat more, regardless of her preferences, and that her development is otherwise normal.

Heizi married Park Chung-hyuk, the director of Kidsworks, in 2018 and welcomed her first daughter in July 2023. She is also expecting her second child in July 2025.
