Han Ji-min to Lend Her Voice as Special Narrator for 'Korean Table'

Han Ji-min will showcase her love for Korean cuisine as the special narrator for the upcoming episode of KBS1's 'Korean Table' (한국인의 밥상), airing on November 21.

Expressing her passion for traditional Korean food, Han stated, "Koreans are all about rice," and shared her admiration for the show, noting, "'Korean Table' already presents a wealth of Korean culture, but as a long-running program, I wondered if there would be anything new to share. I was surprised to find that it always has fresh stories to tell, like a treasure trove."

Despite her initial concerns about capturing the warmth of the show's previous narrator, Choi Bul-am, Han Ji-min's recording session proved to be a success. She connected emotionally with various characters, including a villager from Sancheong who has spent a lifetime picking cotton and weaving fabric, a woman who traveled by boat to Daebu Island, and a farmer from Gangjin who caught a big fish in the rice paddies. Her versatile narration added depth and flavor to the program.

With numerous requests for her participation in films, dramas, and documentaries, viewers are eager to see what unique experiences and emotions Han Ji-min will bring to 'Korean Table.'

The episode will embark on a culinary journey across South Korea, starting from Daebu Island in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, and exploring hidden 'culinary heritage' in regions such as Sancheong in Gyeongnam, Gangjin in Jeonnam, and Uljin in Gyeongbuk. This exploration promises to reveal the delicious traditions that have been preserved for over a century.
