Han Ji-min Resigns as CEO in 'My Perfect Secretary'

In the latest episode of SBS's drama 'My Perfect Secretary' (나의 완벽한 비서), aired on February 8, Han Ji-min's character, Kang Ji-yoon, stepped down from her position as CEO amid a major investment scandal involving the company 'People's'. The episode depicted how 'People's' became embroiled in a 20 billion won investment fraud scheme orchestrated by Kim Hye-jin (played by Park Bo-kyung).

The plot thickened as 'People's' was caught up in a scam involving 'Iconic Bio', whose CEO, Young-min (played by Ko Sang-ho), disappeared after luring investors with promises of stock listings. During this turmoil, Young-min used Ji-yoon's name to attract investments, leading to a barrage of questions from reporters about the fate of those who had trusted 'People's' and switched jobs based on that trust.

As the situation escalated, police arrived at the company's headquarters with a search warrant, while investors gathered at Ji-yoon's home demanding compensation for their losses. In a moment of crisis, Eun-ho (played by Lee Jun-hyuk) intervened to protect Ji-yoon.

The following day, Ji-yoon confronted Hye-jin, questioning her motives. Hye-jin revealed her disdain for Ji-yoon, stating, "I dislike you because you act superior and pretend to be morally upright." Ji-yoon retaliated, suggesting that Hye-jin feared her knowledge of a past incident involving a deceased employee. Hye-jin provocatively challenged Ji-yoon, suggesting that if the company was failing, she should beg for help or use her weaknesses as leverage.

Hye-jin further accused Ji-yoon of treating employees as mere commodities, while secretly plotting to acquire 'People's' for her own company, 'Caraway'. Meanwhile, investor Woo Cheol-yong (played by Jo Seung-yeon) pressured Ji-yoon to resign, promising to protect the employees' jobs if she did.

Ultimately, Ji-yoon announced her resignation in front of her gathered staff, shocking everyone with her decision to step down as CEO of 'People's'.
