Han Groo Opens Up About the Challenges of Raising Twins

Actress Han Groo recently shared her experiences and challenges of raising twins during an episode of TV CHOSUN's 'Chef Heo Young-man's Dining Journey' that aired on June 1, 2025. In the episode, Han Groo and chef Heo Young-man traveled to Buan, Jeollabuk-do, to enjoy local delicacies such as pig's intestines and blood sausage soup. Han Groo expressed her love for discovering hidden gems in her neighborhood, stating, "I enjoy searching for local restaurants and often stop to try old establishments I come across."
While at a restaurant, she encountered a group of high school baseball players and shared her passion for fitness, mentioning that she practices swimming, weight training, yoga, pilates, and flying yoga, with three of these activities being part of her daily routine. Han Groo also revealed that she studied at the Beijing Dance Academy, where she became accustomed to physical activity. Impressively, she demonstrated her skills in martial arts, which she learned while studying in China, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Despite her rising stardom, Han Groo took a break from her career at the age of 23 when she announced her marriage. By 26, she became a mother of twins, but after her divorce, she has been balancing her roles as a single mother and an actress.
Reflecting on her journey, Han Groo candidly admitted, "To be honest, I didn’t think about the kids. I returned to my career after they started elementary school. Until then, I had never spent a night away from them. I did everything—bathing, cooking, you name it. The first day we were apart, we both cried, but once I was out, I felt a sense of relief." She added, "Raising the kids alone has brought me small joys, but it has also been incredibly tough. The happiest moment for me was when I received the confirmation text for their daycare enrollment. I cried then too."
