Han Ga-in and Kim Dong-jun Finally Meet After 14 Years of Being Lookalikes

Actress Han Ga-in and actor Kim Dong-jun, who have often been compared for their striking resemblance, revealed that they had never met in person despite being in the public eye for over a decade. On November 27, 2024, the YouTube channel 'Free Woman Han Ga-in' released a video titled 'What Happened When We Met Kim Dong-jun, the Lookalike Everyone Has Been Waiting For? (+DNA Test)'. The video features Han Ga-in meeting Kim Dong-jun, known for being a member of the idol group ZE:A, who has often been referred to as her lookalike.

Since Han Ga-in's debut in 2002 through a commercial and Kim Dong-jun's debut with ZE:A in 2010, the two have been noted for their similarities for 14 years without ever crossing paths. Their first interaction came recently through social media, where Kim Dong-jun expressed his desire to meet Han Ga-in during an appearance on broadcaster Ji Seok-jin's YouTube channel. Following this, both stars mentioned each other on their social media accounts.

The production team was surprised that despite their long careers, they had never met. Han Ga-in echoed this sentiment, expressing her curiosity about their lack of encounters. As they spoke, Kim Dong-jun's mannerisms reminded Han Ga-in of herself, prompting laughter. Kim Dong-jun noted, "I debuted in 2010, and you were on a break after 'The Moon Embracing the Sun,' so I was active during that time." Han Ga-in agreed, saying, "It feels really strange."

Han Ga-in was intrigued by their meeting location, a cooking studio, stating, "I don’t understand why we are here. I can’t cook at all." Kim Dong-jun explained, "For over 20 years, people have told me I resemble you. I’ve benefited a lot from your work, and I wanted to treat you to a meal when we finally met."

Kim Dong-jun expressed his embarrassment, saying, "I feel sorry that every interview brings up our resemblance." Han Ga-in chimed in, saying she had seen him referred to as 'the male Han Ga-in.' As they continued to converse, the two seemed to share a bond akin to siblings. Han Ga-in, who has only an older sister, remarked, "I don’t have a younger brother, but you feel like one to me," while Kim Dong-jun, who has only an older brother, responded, "I don’t have a sister, but you feel like one to me too." Han Ga-in concluded, "Now we are siblings!"
