HaHa Opens Up About Insecurities from Infinite Challenge on 'What Do You Do When You Play?'

In the latest episode of MBC's What Do You Do When You Play? (놀면 뭐하니?), which aired on June 28, 2025, HaHa revealed his feelings of insecurity during his time on Infinite Challenge (무한도전). The episode featured Yoo Jae-suk, HaHa, Joo Woo-jae, and Lee Yi-kyung enjoying a 'broadcast vacation' at MBC. The production team explained that they wanted to treat the cast to a vacation since they rarely get to take time off.

Initially skeptical, Yoo Jae-suk entered the station, checked in at the front desk, and gradually got into the vacation spirit after enjoying a welcome drink of herbal tea. While browsing the guidebook, he was pleasantly surprised to discover amenities like an infinity pool and massage chairs, exclaiming, "This is better than I expected! It feels nice." As the others arrived, they began to fully embrace their vacation experience.

The four friends made their way to a café on the 13th floor, pulling their suitcases along and expressing excitement as they explored the MBC premises, with Joo Woo-jae leading the way. HaHa humorously remarked about Yoo Jae-suk, saying, "He’s the one who put a pillar in MBC!"

After enjoying drinks at the café, they headed to the infinity pool located on the outdoor terrace. Upon seeing the mini pool, they laughed and quickly changed into swimsuits, diving into the water and praising the quality of the setup.

The episode introduced a new member, Han Sang-jin, who traveled from Busan on a 5 AM train just to join the fun. He immediately changed into swimwear and joined the water activities. After a lively time in the pool, the group donned bathrobes and headed to the restaurant for a meal, where they were thrilled to see chicken cutlet on the menu.

Following their meal, they decided to get dessert from a nearby café, and through a game of rock-paper-scissors, Han Sang-jin ended up being the one to go. Feeling embarrassed while walking through the busy streets of Sangam, he was met with laughter from the others as they browsed the MBC merchandise shop. HaHa was disappointed to find that his figure was not selling as well as Yoo Jae-suk's, which was sold out.

The next segment involved a mental health consultation with a professional therapist. HaHa began joking about his merchandise not selling but then opened up about his insecurities from his time on Infinite Challenge. He shared, "I was part of an incredible program, but I had my own complexes. I felt a sense of inferiority, even though it was a tremendous gift. It was overwhelming to keep up with such talented entertainers, and I often felt like a supporter, which led to my insecurities."

He continued, "I think I’ve gone through a lot of tough times. My goal was to be someone needed. With the changes in What Do You Do When You Play?, I have many concerns about how things will unfold with just four of us. I wonder if I can lead well and if my presence will be helpful. I’m famous, but I don’t have popularity, so I question if that will be beneficial."

The members also enjoyed a mud pack for skincare, fully embracing their vacation experience.
