HaHa Makes DJ Comeback After 16 Years: 'I Will Connect with Listeners Maturely'

On November 25, 2024, HaHa (하하) shared his thoughts on returning to the DJ booth after 16 years during the production presentation for KBS Cool FM's 'HaHa's Super Radio' (하하의 슈퍼 라디오) held at the KBS International Conference Room in Yeouido, Seoul. He remarked, "In my 20s, I just shouted into the mic, but now I aim to connect with listeners in a more mature way."

Starting as a follow-up to the 'Music Show,' 'HaHa's Super Radio' will air daily at 2 PM, energizing listeners with lively content. This marks HaHa's first return to radio since his stint on SBS's 'Ten Ten Club' in 2005. He expressed, "Radio has always been on my bucket list and a dream of mine. I remember listening to Lee Moon-sae's radio show instead of studying during my school days. My day always began and ended with radio. I am grateful for the warm welcome I still receive."

Despite his excitement, HaHa acknowledged the pressure of meeting expectations, stating, "I feel a bit burdened. I need to show results. I believe that the relationship between a DJ and listeners is like a one-on-one conversation, and I will strive to be a DJ who can maintain that connection for a long time."

'HaHa's Super Radio' promises to be a cheerful and vibrant music entertainment program that engages listeners of all ages, aiming to shake off the afternoon lethargy with exciting music. Notably, it will air alongside the popular program 'Cultwo Show' (컬투쇼) from another network, drawing attention.

Reflecting on his past, HaHa noted, "In my 20s, the time slot was challenging, and the competition was fierce, so I often just shouted. However, I believe my sincerity resonated with many, and I received a lot of love. Back then, I was all about passion and energy, but now I want to approach it with elegance. I will create a program that allows me to connect with the audience in a more mature way."

He also expressed his hope that 'Super Radio' would bring a fresh breeze to KBS Cool FM, aligning with its catchphrase, 'How about 2 PM? Super Energy at 2 PM!' HaHa shared, "As a parent of three, I understand how precious this time is for those raising children. I want to be a DJ who empathizes, comforts, and supports listeners as a fellow parent and comrade. I aspire to be a warm yet passionate DJ."

'HaHa's Super Radio' will premiere on November 25, 2024, at 2 PM, available on KBS Cool FM (FM 89.1 MHz in the Seoul metropolitan area) and through the radio applications 'KBS Kong' and 'KBS Plus.'
