GOT7's Park Jin-young Donates 50 Million Won for Wildfire Relief

Park Jin-young, a member of the popular K-pop group GOT7 and an actor, has made a generous donation of 50 million won to support victims of recent wildfires and aid firefighters. The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association announced on March 26 that Park's contribution aims to assist those affected by the wildfires and the dedicated firefighters working tirelessly on the front lines.
Expressing his concern, Park stated, "Hearing the stories of the firefighters who are working day and night amidst the wildfire damage weighed heavily on my heart. I wanted to contribute in any way I could, even if it's just a small help."
With this donation, Park Jin-young has reached a total of 100 million won in cumulative donations, earning him a spot in the 'Hope Bridge Honors Club,' a group of high-value individual donors.
Shin Hoon, the Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, remarked, "Park Jin-young's donation reflects a warm-hearted gesture towards the affected residents and the personnel on-site. We will ensure that this valuable contribution is responsibly delivered to make a meaningful impact on the ground."
Meanwhile, Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency relief supplies to the wildfire-affected areas in Uiseong County, Gyeongbuk, and Sancheong County, Gyeongnam. They are also operating relief vehicles, including laundry support trucks and mental recovery buses, at temporary evacuation sites. Additional support is being considered in consultation with local governments as needed.
Donations for the wildfire-affected regions, including Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam, can be made through the Hope Bridge website and online fundraising platforms such as Naver Happy Bean and Kakao Together. More details can be found on the Hope Bridge website.
Established in 1961 by various media outlets and social organizations, the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association specializes in disaster relief fundraising. Its main activities include emergency disaster relief, fundraising and distribution of public donations, community recovery post-disaster, and support for vulnerable groups affected by disasters.
