GOT7 Teases New Mini Album 'WINTER HEPTAGON' with Exciting Highlights

Global boy group GOT7 is set to showcase an upgraded musical spectrum with their upcoming mini album 'WINTER HEPTAGON (윈터 헵타곤)'. On January 15, Kakao Entertainment released a highlight medley featuring snippets of the new songs on their official social media, revealing parts of the title track and all the included songs. The medley also included behind-the-scenes footage that captured the unique charms of each of the seven members, generating enthusiastic responses from fans worldwide.

The album features a total of nine tracks, including the title song 'PYTHON (파이톤)', along with 'SMOOTH (스무스)', '청춘드라마', '기억할거야', 'Darling (달링)', 'TIDAL WAVE (타이달 웨이브)', 'OUT THE DOOR (아웃 더 도어)', 'her (허)', and '우리가 할 수 있는 말은.'. Each member contributed to the songwriting, composing, and producing of the tracks, showcasing their individual styles while deeply reflecting GOT7's identity.

Among the tracks, 'PYTHON' and 'TIDAL WAVE' were worked on by BamBam, 'SMOOTH' by Jackson, '청춘드라마' by Youngjae (Ars), '기억할거야' by Yugyeom, 'Darling' by JAY B (제이비, Def.), 'OUT THE DOOR' by Mark (Mark Tuan), and 'her' by JinYoung. The final track, '우리가 할 수 있는 말은.', is a fan song composed by JAY B, with all members participating in the lyrics to express their love and gratitude towards their fans.

The title track 'PYTHON' features a catchy pop melody with a hip-hop beat, telling a fateful love story with the lyrics, "I know I’m an icon / Watch me with the lights on / But she got a hold on me like a python," heightening anticipation for the full song. Other tracks include the soulful 'SMOOTH', the performance-driven '청춘드라마' and '기억할거야', the R&B-infused 'Darling', and the danceable 'TIDAL WAVE' and 'OUT THE DOOR'. The ballad 'her' harmoniously incorporates each member's style, while the closing track '우리가 할 수 있는 말은.' features heartfelt lyrics directed at their fans, expressing, "To my special little bird / I hope my grateful heart reaches you / I will definitely return."

'WINTER HEPTAGON' marks GOT7's 11th anniversary, showcasing their profound musicality and love for their fans. Despite being a mini album, it is packed with nine tracks, offering a rich gift to their supporters.

The new mini album 'WINTER HEPTAGON' will be released on January 20 at 6 PM KST across all online music platforms. Following the release, GOT7 will hold a solo concert titled [NESTFEST (네스트페스트)] at the Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, Seoul, on February 1 and 2, continuing their full-group activities. Fans are eagerly anticipating the chance to experience the new songs live. Ticket sales will begin on January 17 at 8 PM KST exclusively on Melon Ticket.
