GOT7 Set for January Comeback Before Members' Military Enlistment

GOT7 is gearing up for a full group comeback in January 2024. According to recent reports, the members are currently in the process of recording a new album, with plans to release it by the end of January. Members Jackson and Mark, who primarily work overseas, have returned to South Korea to participate in the recording sessions. The group aims to finalize their schedule and release teasers within December, marking their official return as a complete unit.

Fans have been anticipating this comeback, especially after member Jinyoung, who was discharged from military service on November 7, expressed during his discharge event that the group is diligently preparing for the album. He mentioned the urgency to release it before the other members enlist, as he wants to reward fans for their support.

Currently, aside from the foreign members, Jinyoung and JB have completed their military service, while Youngjae and Yugyeom are set to enlist soon. The upcoming album is expected to celebrate the return of the older members while also serving as a farewell to fans before the younger members enlist.

In the lead-up to their comeback, the members are focusing on individual activities. JB recently released his first solo album, 'Archive 1: [Road Runner]' on November 27, while Jinyoung made his first public appearance post-discharge at the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards on November 29 and confirmed his role in the upcoming drama 'Unknown Seoul.'

Yugyeom has been busy with his first solo album 'TRUST ME' and is currently participating as a producer on SBS's global boy group audition program 'Universe League.' BamBam released his third mini-album 'BAMESIS' in August and has been gaining popularity through various entertainment shows. Youngjae recently completed an Asia tour and a fan meeting in Japan, stepping down from his role as a DJ on MBC FM4U's 'Youngjae's Close Friend' after 2 years and 8 months.

Since their debut in 2014, GOT7 has released numerous hits like 'A,' 'Just Right,' 'Hard Carry,' and 'Girls Girls Girls,' earning a dedicated fanbase. After their contract with JYP Entertainment ended in 2021, the members moved to different agencies but have consistently expressed their commitment to group activities. Their last mini-album, 'GOT7,' released in May 2022, marked their first comeback after leaving their agency, and now with JB and Jinyoung's military discharge, they are preparing for another full group return.
