Gong Hyo-jin Tells Lee Min-ho to Forget Their Space Experience in 'Ask the Stars'

In the latest episode of tvN's weekend drama 'Ask the Stars' (별들에게 물어봐), aired on February 2, 2025, Gong Hyo-jin's character, Eve Kim, urged Lee Min-ho's character, Gong-ryong, to forget their experiences in space. The episode depicted their return to Earth after being stranded in a damaged space station.

Rescued by Park Dong-ah (played by Kim Joo-hun), Gong-ryong and Eve Kim arrived back on Earth in wheelchairs, greeted by their colleagues and the press. Upon seeing Gong-ryong, Choi Go-eun (Han Ji-eun) rushed to embrace him, celebrating their safe return. Park Dong-ah confessed that he went to space to save the woman he loves, stating, 'She is the most beloved woman on Earth.' When asked about her marriage plans with Gong-ryong, Choi Go-eun expressed her eagerness to marry him immediately.

During their time in space, Gong-ryong and Eve Kim developed a deep affection for each other, sharing warmth and promises. Gong-ryong had declared, 'If we survive, I will kiss you every 15 minutes and stay by your side until I’m 100 years old.' However, upon returning to Earth and facing their respective partners, they struggled to hide their complicated feelings. Park Dong-ah warned Gong-ryong to stay away from Eve, asserting, 'Your woman is Choi Go-eun, and Eve is mine.'

Gong-ryong secretly delivered a portable freezer to Choi Jae-ryong (Kim Eung-soo), thrilled to discover that the Morula inside was alive. When Choi Go-eun asked if he had kissed Eve Kim, Gong-ryong dismissed the idea, apologizing for not being able to marry her when she proposed, fearing it would make him a terrible person.

In a moment of vulnerability, Park Dong-ah confessed to Eve Kim that he had slept with Kang Tae-hee (Lee El) and begged for her forgiveness, promising to wait until she could forgive him. Meanwhile, Gong-ryong and Eve Kim shared oxygen therapy and engaged in conversation, only to be interrupted by Kang Kang-soo (Oh Jung-se), who confronted Gong-ryong in anger. Eve Kim chose to observe rather than intervene.

Eve Kim suggested they go to a convenience store together, where they enjoyed ramen as promised during their time in space. She then firmly stated, 'Let’s pretend it never happened. It feels like a dream. I’m not that person. It was a good dream, but it’s not me. I’ve come to my senses, and you should too.' She added, 'Let’s not hurt the people we love on Earth because of those ten short days in space. I will go back to space within a month and forget all of this.'

Gong-ryong pressed her, asking if she would deny her feelings and for whom, but Eve Kim replied, 'Once I’m discharged, it’s over between us.'
