Gong Hyo-jin Shares Wedding Experience During 'Ask the Stars' Production

On December 18, the production press conference for tvN's new weekend drama 'Ask the Stars' (별들에게 물어봐) took place at The Saint in Guro, Seoul. The event featured director Park Shin-woo, along with cast members Lee Min-ho, Gong Hyo-jin, Oh Jung-se, and Han Ji-eun. During the conference, Gong Hyo-jin opened up about her recent wedding to Kevin Oh, which occurred while filming the series.

Gong Hyo-jin explained that she felt compelled to marry sooner rather than later, anticipating that the public reveal of their relationship might not happen until 2025 or 2026. She shared, 'We had a significant event during our filming period, and the team was very accommodating, allowing me to take ten days off for the wedding. The filming schedule was tight, and Lee Min-ho had to continue shooting while I was away. I was overwhelmed at the time, but I was able to return and play the lead in a romantic comedy right after getting married, which is quite special.'

She also mentioned that she consulted with her co-stars about her decision to marry, receiving their blessings. 'When I returned, I was greeted with applause as a newlywed, which was a memorable moment for me. A lot has happened in the past year, and I’m grateful that everything has unfolded smoothly.'

'Ask the Stars' follows the story of Eve (Gong Hyo-jin), a boss working in a zero-gravity space station, and a mysterious guest named Gong-ryong (Lee Min-ho) who has a secret mission. The drama is gaining attention for its unique space office theme and is set to premiere on January 4, 2025.
