Go Min-si Shares Insights on Preparing for Her Role in 'Your Taste'

On May 8, a press conference for the Genie TV original series 'Your Taste' took place at the Stanford Hotel in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event was hosted by Park Kyung-rim and featured creator Han Jun-hee, director Park Dan-hee, and cast members Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, Kim Shin-rok, and Yoo Soo-bin.

Set to premiere on May 12 at 10 PM, 'Your Taste' (produced by KT Studio Genie and Shortcake, with a script by Jeong Soo-yoon and direction by Park Dan-hee) tells the story of Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), a wealthy heir who becomes a 'recipe hunter' by merging a small restaurant to inherit a food company, and Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), a stubborn chef running a one-table restaurant in Jeonju without a sign.

Reflecting on her transition from an intern in 'Seojin's' to a chef in this new role, Go Min-si remarked, "I definitely feel that my previous experience has been helpful." She added, "In 'Seojin's,' I mostly did the dishes and chopping, but this time I learned how to handle knives and found it enjoyable. If I hadn't had that prior filming experience, I think I would have been more scared and overwhelmed."

Go Min-si also mentioned, "I chose this role because I wanted to have fun and feel comfortable while filming, but it turned out that there was a lot more to do than I expected. I had to learn cooking basics, so I actually trained with chefs and practiced cooking before filming. The dialect was also a crucial part, so I constantly asked for feedback and checked my progress. The other cast members helped fill in my gaps as well."
