Previously, on December 16, 2024, Go Hyun-jung had to cancel her appearance at the production presentation for the Genie TV drama 'Namib' just two hours before it was set to begin. Her agency, iOK Company, released a statement explaining that she had collapsed that morning and had been experiencing health issues for some time, even fainting on set multiple times.

Following her hospitalization, Go Hyun-jung updated her followers, saying, 'I’m sorry for causing worry. I’m recovering well now. I’m eating properly and meeting close friends. I was surprised at how ill I was, but after successfully undergoing major surgery, I feel more alert. I will take care of myself moving forward.'
