Go Hyun-jung Opens Up About Her Children on 'You Quiz on the Block'

In a recent episode of tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' (유퀴즈 온 더 블럭), actress Go Hyun-jung shared insights into her personal life, including her relationship with her children. The episode aired on November 27, 2024, and featured Go discussing her unexpected journey into love while initially planning to study abroad.

Go revealed, "From the age of 22 to 24, I was busy filming dramas and dating, and then suddenly I got married." She reflected on her time filming 'Sandglass' (모래시계), stating, "I was in a relationship during that time, and it felt like my work was interfering with my love life. I thought I would quit acting to get married."

As she spoke about her return to acting, Go expressed her feelings about retiring at a young age, saying, "I was only 32 or 33, and I hadn’t been recognized as a natural actress. I wondered if I could make a comeback, but I realized I had no other skills. I had done everything I could and even apologized to director Kim Jong-hak."

When asked about her relationship with her children, Go admitted, "People are curious if I spend time with them. But as a mother, I feel like I should be comfortable with them. However, since we don’t live together, it feels awkward, and I sense a distance. I didn’t realize how sad it could be to feel this way. It’s something that can’t be filled because it’s already lost. I was quite upset about it," she shared candidly.
