Go Hyun-jung Fired from Pandora Entertainment in New Drama 'Namib'

In the premiere episode of the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' aired on December 23, Go Hyun-jung's character, Kang Soo-hyun, was abruptly ousted from Pandora Entertainment due to a conspiracy orchestrated by Oh Bong-kyu (played by In Gyo-jin) and Jang Hyun-cheol (Lee Seung-joon).
Kang Soo-hyun made her entrance as a strict agency head, known for her keen eye in identifying trainees. Meanwhile, her husband, Shim Jun-seok (Yoon Sang-hyun), discovered that she had given money to a friend helping their son, Shim Jin-woo (Lee Jin-woo), with his studies. Previously, during a parent-teacher meeting, Kang Soo-hyun had expressed her intention to raise her son as the representative of a factory and questioned whether it was acceptable to pay his friend directly for assistance, leaving Shim Jun-seok puzzled by her approach.
In the meantime, Kang Soo-hyun had invested her life savings from 20 years of work into securing a factory contract. The factory manager congratulated her, recalling that she had mentioned purchasing the factory five years ago, which many thought would never happen. Kang Soo-hyun responded, "I had to do it for my son's future," drawing attention to her determination.
However, she soon learned that an emergency board meeting was convened to discuss her dismissal. The leading artist of Pandora Entertainment, Raid Jae-sung, had demanded the termination of Kang Soo-hyun's contract, citing allegations of abuse and misconduct. Watching the video evidence, Kang Soo-hyun questioned, "Can you believe this?"
At this moment, Oh Bong-kyu appeared, stating, "I invested after seeing Raid, but now that he’s leaving, what will happen? You either return double the investment or fire Kang Soo-hyun." He presented the board with an ultimatum: choose between Kang Soo-hyun or Raid. Ultimately, the board voted in favor of her dismissal, and Oh Bong-kyu recommended Jang Hyun-cheol as her replacement.
Jang Hyun-cheol then boldly declared in front of Kang Soo-hyun, "How did Pandora end up in this state? From now on, anyone who disrupts the organization, including trainees and existing staff, will be let go."
