Go Hyun-jung Dismissed from Position Amid Allegations of Abuse

In the premiere episode of the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' on December 23, Go Hyun-jung's character, Kang Soo-hyun, was abruptly removed from her position as CEO due to allegations of abuse and verbal misconduct. Kang Soo-hyun faced accusations of mistreating the idol Raesung (played by Lee Jin-woo) from Pandora Entertainment. Despite her dismissal, she insisted on staying in her role to fulfill a factory contract for her son, Shim Jin-woo, and to resolve a debt of 1 billion KRW.

Chris (Lee Gi-taek) visited Kang Soo-hyun's office, questioning if she recognized him. She dismissed him with a laugh, stating, "Should I know you?" Chris, a former trainee at Pandora Entertainment, was soon followed by Jang Hyun-cheol (Lee Seung-jun), who Kang Soo-hyun believed orchestrated her downfall. She confronted him, asking, "When did this start? Were you the mastermind or was it Smile Investment?" Jang Hyun-cheol retorted, "From the moment you ruined my life, perhaps?"

Kang Soo-hyun declared, "Don’t think I’ll leave the company quietly over this edited video." Jang Hyun-cheol responded, "You’re being dismissed for abuse, so there’s no severance pay. Our staff was willing to help with your move, but that’s off the table now. You need to vacate quickly."

On the same day, CEO Kim suggested that Kang Soo-hyun hand over responsibilities to Yoo Jin-woo. She reacted angrily, questioning, "Where do you get off trying to use this guy to settle my life? Are you joking?" Yoo Jin-woo overheard their conversation from outside.
