Go Hyun-jung and Ryu Un Join Forces in New Drama 'Namib'

In the premiere episode of the Genie TV original drama 'Namib' aired on December 23, Go Hyun-jung's character, Kang Soo-hyun, teams up with Ryu Un's character, Yoo Jin-woo, as she embarks on a journey in an audition program.
On this day, Kang Soo-hyun is abruptly dismissed from her position as the head of Pandora Entertainment after being accused of mistreatment and verbal abuse towards idol trainee Jae-sung. This dismissal is part of a scheme orchestrated by Oh Bong-kyu and Jang Hyun-cheol.
Yoo Jin-woo, a long-term trainee at Pandora Entertainment, also faces contract termination. Compounding his troubles, his parents have taken out a loan from the company, leaving him with a debt of 200 million won. When he expresses his concerns about repaying the debt as a high school student, he is ignored and subsequently evicted from his dormitory.
Sim Jun-seok, played by Yoon Sang-hyun, visits Pandora Entertainment after failing to reach Kang Soo-hyun by phone, only to learn of her dismissal. He questions her decision-making, asking why she gave them a reason to act against her.
Jun-seok is disappointed to discover that his mother, Kang Soo-hyun, had given money to a friend who was assisting him. She explains that receiving money instills a sense of responsibility, and she had hoped he would provide it, but the school prohibited it, leading her to step in.
As the plot unfolds, Kang Soo-hyun learns about Yoo Jin-woo's debt and sees potential in him after watching his past performances. She approaches him with a request to win first place in the audition program 'Star Rise.' In a surprising turn, Yoo Jin-woo offers to protect her son, Sim Jin-woo, if she hesitates to sign a contract with him.
