Global Hit 'Moving' Makes Its TV Debut on MBC

The globally acclaimed series 'Moving' (무빙), based on the webtoon by Kang Full (강풀), premiered on MBC on December 22, showcasing the lives of parents and children who conceal their superpowers. According to Nielsen Korea, the show recorded a viewership rating of 5.1% in the Seoul metropolitan area, marking a strong start. The key demographic rating for viewers aged 20-49 reached 2.3%. A particularly gripping moment occurred when class president Lee Kang-hoon (이강훈) returned home after learning a secret about a new student, resulting in a peak rating of 6.4%.

In the first two episodes, we meet seemingly ordinary high school seniors Kim Bong-seok (김봉석), Jang Hee-soo (장희수), and Lee Kang-hoon, who are all classmates at Jeongwon High School. Their homeroom teacher, Choi Il-hwan (최일환), keeps a close eye on their abilities, adding to the tension.

The show also begins to unveil the hidden secrets of single mother and pork cutlet restaurant owner Lee Mi-hyun (이미현), who raises her son Bong-seok, and chicken shop owner Jang Joo-won (장주원), who takes care of his daughter Hee-soo. The next episodes, airing on December 23, will delve into the complex dynamics between Kim Bong-seok and Lee Kang-hoon regarding the new student Jang Hee-soo.

'Moving' has already set records as the highest-rated domestic original series on Disney+ and is now making waves as a collaboration between global OTT platforms and local broadcast networks.
