Gil from Leessang Returns to Music After 7 Years Following DUI Incident

Gil (길성준), formerly of the hip-hop duo Leessang, has shared an exciting update about his return to music after a lengthy hiatus. On November 25, 2024, he took to his social media to announce, "Finally complete. I've been preparing for years. I'm nervous," alongside a photo of his new album cover.
The image features Gil meditating with an octopus on his head at a fish market, with the title '빛나리 길성준' prominently displayed. Fans reacted enthusiastically to the surprise announcement of his new music, expressing their support with comments like, "My heart skipped a beat," "Can I look forward to this, hyung?" and "I've always been waiting for this."
Gil's career faced significant challenges after he was caught driving under the influence in 2014, leading to his departure from all programs, including MBC's 'Infinite Challenge' (무한도전). Although he attempted a comeback after a period of reflection, he was again involved in a DUI incident in 2017, which resulted in another pause in his entertainment activities.
In the wake of Leessang's 20th anniversary, rumors of a reunion surfaced, but fellow member Gary (개리) clarified that the duo had officially disbanded, leaving fans disappointed. Last year, Gil hinted at a new musical direction after signing an exclusive contract with MLD Entertainment, and now he is set to return to his roots in music, generating excitement among his followers.
