(G)I-DLE's Minnie Prepares for Solo Debut in January

(G)I-DLE's Minnie is gearing up for her solo debut, with plans for a release in mid-January 2024. According to a representative from her agency, CUBE Entertainment, preparations are currently underway for this highly anticipated project. This marks Minnie's first solo album after seven years since her debut, making her the fourth member of (G)I-DLE to release a solo album, following Soyeon, Miyeon, and Yuqi.

On December 2, CUBE Entertainment announced that all members of (G)I-DLE have renewed their contracts. The agency stated, "After in-depth discussions, we have successfully re-signed all members, including Soyeon, whose contract had already expired, as well as Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi, and Shuhua, who still had time left on their existing contracts. This renewal will allow (G)I-DLE to further solidify the brand they have built over the past seven years and continue to receive our full support as they aim for broader stages and greater heights."

Prior to this announcement, the members had stirred excitement at the 2024 Melon Music Awards on November 30, where they won the Record of the Year award and revealed that they had all re-signed their contracts.

Fans are eagerly anticipating Minnie's solo album, which promises to showcase a different side of her artistry compared to her work with (G)I-DLE.
