(G)I-DLE's Leader Soyeon Donates 100 Million Won for Wildfire Recovery Efforts

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association announced on March 28, 2025, that Soyeon, the leader of the girl group (여자)아이들, has donated 100 million won to aid in the recovery from the recent wildfires. This donation will be used for emergency relief, provision of essential goods, and the operation of temporary shelters for residents affected in regions such as Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam.

This contribution follows her previous donation of 100 million won last year for flood recovery efforts during the heavy rains of 2024. Soyeon is also a member of the 'Hope Bridge Honors Club,' a group of high-value individual donors.

In her statement, Soyeon expressed, "I wanted to provide even a small comfort. I sincerely hope that those suffering can return to their daily lives as soon as possible. I believe it is a time for all of us to extend our hands to help."

Shin Hoon, the Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, remarked, "Soyeon's donation symbolizes genuine solidarity beyond mere sharing. This sincerity will provide great comfort and assistance to the affected residents."

Currently, Hope Bridge is providing over 420,000 relief items, including emergency kits, partitions for shelters, blankets, essential goods, bottled water, and food supplies to the wildfire-affected areas. They are also conducting various on-site relief activities, including laundry support at shelters and meal provisions for firefighters and emergency response teams deployed in the field.
