(G)I-DLE Reaffirms Global Icon Status at 2024 Hanteo Music Awards

(G)I-DLE has once again proven their status as global icons. Members Miyeon and Minnie attended the '32nd Hanteo Music Awards 2024' held at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on February 15, where they received the 'Global Generation Icon Award' and 'Artist of the Year Award.' Minnie also celebrated her win for 'The Most Prime Solo Award' as a solo artist.

During their acceptance speech, Miyeon and Minnie expressed gratitude, stating, "Although not all of us could be here today, we are thankful for this wonderful award. We want to dedicate this honor to our fans, Neverland, who always support and love us. We will strive to show even better versions of ourselves in the future. Let's be together forever." They reflected on the past year, saying, "It seems like last year was filled with good things. We are really grateful to our members. Please continue to look forward to (G)I-DLE's music and growth."

Minnie, who received her solo artist award, shared, "This year marks my first solo debut after seven years. I want to thank Neverland for waiting for me and the company staff who helped prepare the album. I feel blessed to have received so much love, and I will continue to grow both as a solo artist and as a member of (G)I-DLE."

On stage, Minnie dazzled in a red sheer outfit paired with black knee-high boots, performing the title track 'HER' from her mini album. She later showcased her ethereal dance moves in the track 'Cherry Sky,' set against a backdrop of towering buildings, fully embodying her unique concept queen persona.

Miyeon, known for her smooth hosting skills demonstrated on shows like Mnet's 'M Countdown,' 'KCON GERMANY 2024,' and KBS2's 'Celebrity Soldier's Secret,' showcased her experience as an MC with bright smiles and witty remarks throughout the Hanteo Music Awards.

Additionally, Miyeon is set to continue her role as an MC at the 'Hanteo Music Awards 2024' on February 16.
