GFRIEND Makes Long-Awaited Return for 10th Anniversary Project

K-pop group GFRIEND has officially kicked off their 10th anniversary project, reuniting as a full group for the first time in four years. On January 2, they departed from Incheon International Airport to attend the Golden Disc Awards in Fukuoka, Japan, dressed in all-black outfits as a sign of mourning for the recent Jeju Air tragedy.
Since their contract with Source Music ended in May 2021, the members have pursued various individual careers. SinB, Eunha, and Umji formed the group VIVIZ, while Yuju and Yerin have been active as solo artists, and Sowon has transitioned into acting.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary in January 2025, GFRIEND announced a special project aimed at creating cherished memories for their fans. They are set to release a special album titled 'Season of Memories' on January 13, with a performance scheduled for the Golden Disc Awards on January 5, where they will showcase a special stage.
Due to the Jeju Air incident, the Golden Disc Awards will be pre-recorded instead of broadcast live. Following the awards, GFRIEND will hold a three-day concert titled 'GFRIEND 10th Anniversary: Season of Memories' at Olympic Hall in Songpa, Seoul, from January 17 to 19. All concert dates sold out rapidly, highlighting the anticipation surrounding their return.
Additionally, the members will embark on an Asia tour, visiting Osaka on March 9, Yokohama on March 11, Hong Kong on March 14, and Taipei on March 29, further celebrating their decade in the industry. Fans are eagerly looking forward to GFRIEND's activities in 2025 as they begin the year with a full group comeback.
