G-Dragon's Journey on Good Day Concludes

The journey of G-Dragon on MBC's variety show Good Day (굿데이) has come to an end. The eighth episode, aired on April 13, 2025, revealed the final chapter of the 2025 Good Day project featuring G-Dragon.

The group songs for Good Day were confirmed to be 'Telepathy' (텔레파시) and 'By the Moonlight' (달빛 창가에서). Previously, G-Dragon took on the role of director for each of his 88z friends, highlighting their unique personalities.

During a recording session, Kwanghee found himself alone with CL and expressed his excitement, saying, "Isn't it amazing to interview CL?" He asked her what she was looking forward to, particularly about rapping. CL responded, "I don’t want to rap. If I do, I’d prefer to sing the later part." When offered the chance to direct her recording, Kwanghee couldn't hide his excitement.

At that moment, Hong Jin-kyung, Defconn, Giann 84, and Jung Hyung-don arrived. While they were testing their singing, G-Dragon made a surprise appearance after finishing the music video shoot. He and Jung Hyung-don recreated a memorable recording studio scene from 13 years ago on Infinite Challenge (무한도전), which delighted Hong Jin-kyung, who remarked, "This is why he’s GD's man."

After completing the first round of recordings, the second round began. Due to G-Dragon's busy concert schedule, Code Kunst stepped in to direct. He encouraged Kim Go-eun, who was feeling awkward, by saying, "Imagine you’re playing that role in the movie Good Day." Kim Go-eun focused and sang with a clear voice, prompting Code Kunst to comment, "It feels like a college song festival. I love it!" He expressed satisfaction, saying her voice was one he could listen to repeatedly.

Next, Taeyang and the group Buseoksoon took on the directing roles for Ahn Seong-jae and Hwang Jung-min. Ahn Seong-jae, who was busy preparing for a store opening, had to start recording first and expressed his surprise, saying, "I’m recording in front of these people?" Despite his usual lack of confidence in singing, he took on the challenge of his first-ever recording.

Hwang Jung-min also arrived at the recording studio looking nervous. He expressed concern about being responsible for the highlight part, saying, "This is a big deal." However, he showcased his unique husky voice and impressive vocal ability, capturing attention.

The much-anticipated ending part, 'Open the Window of the Heart' (마음의 창문을 열어라), left a lasting impression. Latecomers, including Daesung, along with Buseoksoon and Taeyang, cheered, saying, "(Our hearts) have opened," and gave a standing ovation.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon wrapped up Good Day by meeting Jung Hyung-don after a fun day at an amusement park with Kwanghee. When asked about his experience on Good Day, G-Dragon replied, "It was an honor to be part of this. Just agreeing to do something so absurd for a good cause was a great motivation for me." He added, "I wanted to create a project that would bring joy and laughter to many people through music. I ended up coming here every day, laughing so much that my cheeks hurt. If the Big Bang members were here when I was resting, now there are 30 members!"
