G-DRAGON's Generous Donation Overshadowed by Late Arrival at Launch Event

On June 13, 2025, G-DRAGON (지드래곤) attended the launch party for the liquor brand 'PEACEMINUSONE Highball' at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. However, he arrived approximately 40 minutes late, disappointing some fans. Event organizers attributed the delay to traffic congestion, but G-DRAGON left shortly after a brief photo op without further explanation, leading to some criticism regarding his demeanor.
Despite the late arrival, the event held significant meaning as G-DRAGON made a generous donation of 880 million KRW to the Just Peace Foundation to support treatment for youth struggling with alcohol addiction. This amount, symbolically linked to the number 8, represents infinity (∞), emphasizing the importance of the cause.
As the honorary chairman of the foundation, G-DRAGON expressed his hope that this donation would inspire a culture of collective participation rather than being a one-time act. He also contributed to the Highball series with artwork that conveys the message, 'It's okay not to be perfect,' visually representing themes of deficiency and coexistence.
The third Highball unveiled at the event features G-DRAGON's artwork titled 'Imperfect Daisy.' This piece is part of the 'Art Edition' series, following the black and red versions, and encapsulates the project's theme of 'the lack of peace, emotion, and coexistence on Earth' through a cosmic narrative.
