G-Dragon's Concert Delayed Twice Due to Severe Weather Conditions

G-Dragon's concert, part of the 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch] IN KOREA, presented by Coupang Play,' faced two delays due to adverse weather conditions, prompting an official apology from his agency, Galaxy Corporation. On March 30, the agency released a statement explaining that the concert on March 29 was initially delayed because of strong winds, which posed safety concerns. This delay was compounded by further weather issues, leading to an additional postponement.
Earlier that day, Coupang Play had informed fans about the changes approximately five hours before the concert, emphasizing the need for safety and cooperation. As a result, the entry time for VIP sound check events was pushed from 2 PM to 3 PM, and the sound check itself was delayed from 3 PM to 4 PM. The entry for general seating was also postponed, with the main performance starting at 7 PM instead of the originally scheduled 6:30 PM.
However, even at the new start time of 7 PM, the concert did not commence until 43 minutes later, with G-Dragon finally taking the stage. He expressed his apologies for the late start, acknowledging the cold weather. Galaxy Corporation reiterated that the delays were due to the extreme cold and sudden snow and rain earlier in the day, followed by strong winds in the afternoon.
G-Dragon had been monitoring the weather throughout the day, conducting sound checks at 2 PM. The agency clarified that the safety measures were taken to prevent any potential harm to the audience from the stage equipment. They expressed gratitude and further apologies to fans who waited in the cold.
Additionally, G-Dragon is set to continue his concert series at the Goyang Sports Complex, with plans to donate 300 million KRW from the concert proceeds to support recovery efforts for the recent large-scale wildfires in Gyeongsang-do and Ulsan.
