When the Korean War broke out, at least 14 young Latvians joined the U.S. forces, with four making the ultimate sacrifice. The Latvian Embassy in South Korea expressed the desire to share the stories of these soldiers, stating, 'When Latvian soldiers found themselves unable to defend their homeland, they bravely fought for the ideals of freedom in another country's military.' On June 29, she took to her personal social media account to share her thoughts, stating, "Thanks to the blessings and warm hearts of many, we had a truly happy wedding. We are now a couple!!!" She continued, "Thinking about the time we will spend together makes me excited and happy already. I deeply feel that our new beginning could be so warm and abundant because of the love we received. I sincerely thank you all." 

Im Do-hwa also reflected on the warm messages she received since announcing her marriage, promising to spread that love further. "Please continue to watch over us as we live beautifully together. Thank you!" 

The couple tied the knot on June 28 at a wedding hall in Seoul, with fellow AOA members attending to celebrate their union. Born in 1996, Im Do-hwa debuted with AOA in 2012 under the stage name Chanmi, later changing her name to Im Do-hwa in 2023. Her husband, Song Ui-hwan, born in 1991, is known for his roles in the play 'Almost Maine' and films like 'Village Survival, the Eight' and 'Encounter.'
