G-Dragon Shares His Feelings About IU on 'IU's Palette'

In the latest episode of IU's YouTube series, 'IU's Palette,' titled '8레트 88날아 왔지용 (With G-DRAGON) Ep.32,' G-Dragon opened up about his relationship with IU, expressing that despite their awkwardness, he feels a sense of closeness with her. During the episode, G-Dragon sported a stylish scarf, reminiscent of his fashion from his previous album 'Power,' while IU also donned a fashionable scarf.

IU asked G-Dragon if he felt overwhelmed with excitement as fellow artists, to which he replied, 'I feel good, but I have some worries.' When IU inquired about his concerns, G-Dragon mentioned, 'Will I be able to perform a show successfully?' He reflected on how, in the past, he would automatically perform whenever he was on tour, but after a long time away from the stage, he was feeling the pressure of warming up for longer performances, especially after his recent appearance at MAMA. IU reassured him with a smile, saying, 'You’ll do great, no doubt.'

G-Dragon humorously responded, 'That's obvious,' showcasing his charm and wit as a seasoned entertainer.

The two artists, who have maintained a long-standing connection, admitted they don’t meet often. IU recalled a pre-interview where G-Dragon mentioned feeling awkward around her. She reminisced about their first meeting when she was 25 and he was 30, to which G-Dragon admitted he was unsure how to interact with anyone back then.

IU also shared that G-Dragon attended her concert last year, and he candidly noted that their interaction was better than before. She revealed that G-Dragon gifted her a bottle of wine from 2008, the year of her debut, and added that he had written a note with it. She humorously mentioned that she hasn’t opened it yet because she treasures it too much, causing G-Dragon to smile shyly.
