G-Dragon Expresses Pressure Over New Music on Good Day
On the March 9 episode of MBC's Good Day (굿데이), G-Dragon (지드래곤) opened up about the challenges he faces while working on new music. During an interview after meeting with various guests including Hong Jin-kyung (홍진경), Jo Se-ho (조세호), and Chef Ahn Sung-jae (안성재), he shared his thoughts on the importance of his upcoming tracks.
G-Dragon expressed, "This is the most important song. It's the time to create something, but I'm still unsure..." He reflected on how his initial ideas for grand and powerful songs changed after collaborating with others from different backgrounds and ages, revealing that he discovered many songs he was previously unaware of. He admitted, "I might have been too rigid in my thinking about the direction of the music, and I erased my previous work list completely."
He acknowledged the pressure of starting fresh, stating, "I need to begin working now," while also expressing his concerns. G-Dragon humorously noted, "I was the one who suggested we expand our vision, so I need to fulfill my role. But honestly, I want to step back. I forgot to think about myself!" He concluded by saying, "It's a good pressure, but when people say, 'You’re in charge, so you’ll handle it,' it adds to my stress."
