G-Dragon Donates 880 Million Won to Support Youth Alcohol Addiction Treatment

On June 13, G-Dragon of BIGBANG made a significant charitable contribution during the 'PEACEMINUSONE Premium Highball Launch Party - The Signal' held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul. He donated 880 million won, symbolizing the number 8, which represents infinity (∞), to the Just Peace Foundation, where he serves as honorary chairman, to support ongoing treatment for youth struggling with alcohol addiction.
This donation follows the earlier releases of the 'Black Highball' on April 9 and the 'Red Highball' on May 27. The event also unveiled a third version of the highball, featuring G-Dragon's own artwork.
The series, consisting of the Black, Red, and Art highballs, aims to address three critical deficiencies on Earth: peace, emotion, and coexistence, through the narrative of the PEACEMINUSONE highball sent from the galaxy.
In his artwork for the third highball, G-Dragon depicted imperfect daisies in various expressions, colors, and textures, conveying the message that it is okay not to be perfect as we all live with our own deficiencies. This visual representation aims to send a signal of transcendent solidarity to people around the world.
G-Dragon expressed hope that the infinite fandom phenomenon born from the PEACEMINUSONE highball series would cultivate joyful culture in more places. He dreams that this donation will inspire a culture of participation, regardless of its size, starting from this day.
Choi Yong-ho, the CEO of Galaxy Corporation and chairman of the Just Peace Foundation, remarked that the sustainable culture and donation initiated by the PEACEMINUSONE highball is just the beginning. He promised to present each deficiency that has never existed on Earth through innovative AI entertainment technology and amazing cosmic stories.
