G-Dragon Donates 880 Million Won for Youth Alcohol Addiction Treatment

G-Dragon (지드래곤), a member of the iconic group BIGBANG (빅뱅), has made a significant donation of 880 million won to support treatment for youth suffering from alcohol addiction. According to his agency, Galaxy Corporation (갤럭시코퍼레이션), the donation was announced during the 'PEACEMINUSONE Premium Highball Launch Party - The Signal' held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul on June 13, 2025. The amount symbolizes the number 8, representing infinity (∞), to emphasize the ongoing need for treatment for young individuals battling alcohol addiction.
At the event, G-Dragon unveiled a new highball product, which is the third in a series following the 'Black Highball' launched in April and the 'Red Highball' released in May. This new version features artwork created by G-Dragon himself, showcasing imperfect daisies in various expressions, colors, and textures, conveying the message that it is okay not to be perfect as one is.
G-Dragon expressed his hope that this donation, regardless of its size, would inspire a culture of participation and support from everyone. Choi Yong-ho (최용호), the CEO of Galaxy Corporation and chairman of the Just Peace Foundation (저스피스 재단), remarked that the sustainable culture of giving initiated by the PEACEMINUSONE highball is just the beginning.
The Just Peace Foundation was established following G-Dragon's commitment to create a public interest foundation after facing allegations of drug use in December 2023. Launched in August 2024, G-Dragon pledged to donate 1% of his future music revenue to the foundation to support musical therapy for young drug addicts, promote the public use of copyrights, and sponsor artistic talent.
