G-Dragon Apologizes for Delayed Concert Start Due to Weather Conditions

On March 29, G-Dragon (지드래곤) kicked off his third world tour, 'G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Ubermensch]', at the Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang City. The concert, which is expected to attract over 60,000 fans over two days, marks G-Dragon's return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus since his last tour, setting high expectations among his supporters.
Earlier in the day, Coupang Play announced a change in the concert schedule due to adverse weather conditions, delaying the VIP sound check event from 2 PM to 3 PM and pushing the main concert start time from 6:30 PM to 7 PM. However, even at the revised time, the concert did not commence, leaving attendees waiting as only Coupang Play advertisements and G-Dragon's music videos played on loop.
After a wait of approximately 43 minutes, G-Dragon finally took the stage at 7:43 PM. His team explained that the concert was delayed due to safety concerns stemming from severe weather conditions, which caused an initial delay followed by an additional 40-minute postponement.
G-Dragon personally addressed the audience, expressing his apologies for the late start, especially given the chilly weather. In a charitable gesture, he announced that 300 million won from the concert proceeds would be donated to support recovery efforts for the recent large-scale wildfires in Gyeongsang-do and Ulsan.
