FTISLAND's Choi Min-hwan Admits to Visiting Entertainment Venues Amid Controversy

Choi Min-hwan of FTISLAND has acknowledged his visits to entertainment venues. On December 20, reports emerged stating that during a police investigation, he admitted to frequently going to such establishments.
His ex-wife, Yulhee, previously accused him in October of visiting entertainment venues during their marriage and of sexually assaulting her in front of his parents. A leaked recording revealed Choi using terms like 'TC', 'lady', 'ju-dae', and 'shirt room' while requesting a reservation from an associate linked to these venues, sparking significant controversy.
Following these allegations, a netizen filed a complaint urging an investigation into Choi for potential violations of prostitution laws and sexual assault. The police have been conducting inquiries into the matter.
During the investigation, Choi stated, "I have indeed visited entertainment venues frequently after consulting with A, but I have never engaged in prostitution. I can't even recall if I actually went to the mentioned venues." A also claimed that their conversation was about visiting entertainment venues, not prostitution.
The police sought to interview Yulhee, the original accuser, but she declined, citing concerns for their children's emotional well-being and expressing that she did not wish for Choi to face criminal charges or further investigation. Consequently, the police concluded their investigation, finding insufficient evidence to charge Choi.
Choi Min-hwan later released two statements asserting that he did not engage in prostitution. Notably, on December 18, he responded to a fan's comment questioning his claims about not visiting venues, saying, "I haven't needed condoms for a long time," which led to further controversy and prompted him to delete the comment.
