Former President Yoon Suk-yeol to Meet with Morse Tan Amid Controversy

Former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, currently incarcerated, is scheduled to meet with Morse Tan, the former U.S. State Department Ambassador-at-Large for Global Criminal Justice, on July 16. Yoon's legal team announced that the meeting will take place at 4:20 PM and will last for approximately 10 minutes, initiated at Tan's request.

Morse Tan, a professor at Liberty University, has been a controversial figure, particularly for raising allegations of election fraud during the 21st presidential election in South Korea. He arrived in South Korea the day before and was invited to give a lecture at Seoul National University. However, the university canceled the venue reservation, citing potential disruptions to educational and research activities. Consequently, Tan held his lecture outside the university's main gate, where he reportedly defended Yoon's declaration of martial law.
