Former President Moon Jae-in Attends Concert Organized by Kim Eo-jun

A concert organized by broadcaster Kim Eo-jun has garnered attention for featuring prominent figures from the ruling party, including former President Moon Jae-in. During the event, Kim humorously introduced himself as 'the soon-to-be Supreme Court Justice Kim Eo-jun.' The 'The Powerful' concert took place from June 27 to 29 at the Inspire Complex Resort Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, with former Blue House protocol secretary Tak Hyun-min directing the event.

Attendees included former President Moon, Prime Minister nominee Kim Min-seok, National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-sik, and lawmaker Jeong Cheong-rae, who is running for the Democratic Party's leadership. A video shared on YouTube shows Kim donning a puppet costume and singing Louis Armstrong's 'What a Wonderful World' before making his introduction.

During the concert, Kim and former President Moon shared a light-hearted exchange. Moon playfully urged Kim to call him 'hyung' (older brother), to which Kim responded with laughter and complied. Kim then jokingly asked Moon to request his appointment as a Supreme Court Justice when he meets President Lee Jae-myung, stating, 'From now on, when everyone calls you President, I will call you hyung. See you later, hyung.'

Kim's comments were interpreted as a response to criticism from the People Power Party regarding a proposed amendment to the Court Organization Act, which would increase the number of Supreme Court Justices to 30 and allow non-lawyers to be appointed. The party had previously criticized the idea, suggesting it would lead to appointing individuals like Kim as justices.

Additionally, Kim challenged Jeong Cheong-rae to praise President Lee, to which Jeong responded, 'President Lee is smart and has content.' He also noted that his political direction aligns with that of President Lee.

After the event, Tak expressed his gratitude on social media, acknowledging the challenges of the venue and content while promising to repay the attendees' support in the future.
