Yoon Kwan-seok, a former member of the National Assembly, is set to be released on parole after serving time for his involvement in the 'Democratic Party Money Envelope' scandal. According to reports, the Ministry of Justice held a parole review committee on June 23 and deemed Yoon eligible for release. He will be freed on June 30, approximately 1 year and 10 months after being indicted on charges of violating party laws in August 2023.
