Former Lawmaker Ryu Ho-jung Surprises Fans with New Carpentry Career

Ryu Ho-jung, the former lawmaker, recently shared an unexpected update about her new career as a carpenter. On January 26, she posted several photos on her Instagram, announcing, "I got a job!" She revealed that she attended a woodworking academy last year to learn the craft. Ryu mentioned that she is the youngest carpenter at her company, both in terms of experience and age, and is continuing her studies even after work hours.

She expressed her appreciation for wood as a natural material, stating, "I feel most at ease when there is a lot of wood in my relaxation space. Lately, I've been following projects and observing how the combination of interior design and solid wood enhances living spaces, making them more comfortable and luxurious."

Ryu also shared her intention to focus on her new path, saying, "While I keep up with the news and remain aware of the world around me, I want to stop switching careers and live diligently. I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday!"

Ryu Ho-jung entered the National Assembly in 2020 as a proportional representative for the Justice Party, gaining recognition as the youngest member at that time. In January 2024, she left the Justice Party and resigned from her position, later joining the Reform Party and receiving a nomination for the upcoming general elections in Seongnam Gap. However, she announced her decision to withdraw from the race, stating, "Politics in the third zone has failed."
