Former EXO Member Tao Marries Chinese Singer Xu Yiyang After 5 Months of Public Dating

Tao (黄子韬), a former member of the popular K-pop group EXO, has tied the knot with Chinese singer and actress Xu Yiyang (徐艺阳). The couple, who have been the subject of dating rumors for several years, confirmed their relationship publicly in July. Both artists share a background with SM Entertainment and are currently signed under Long Tao Entertainment in China.

Tao debuted with EXO in 2012 but left the group in 2015 to pursue a solo career in China. Xu Yiyang joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2014 and appeared on the show 'MY SMT' alongside aespa's Ningning in 2016. After leaving SM in 2018, she has participated in various audition programs.

After acknowledging their relationship, Tao proposed to Xu Yiyang during a broadcast in August, asking, "Can I dare to marry you? Can you promise me?" This swift progression led to speculation about a possible pregnancy, especially after reports surfaced that Xu Yiyang visited a clinic in the U.S. for a check-up. However, there has been no confirmation regarding these pregnancy rumors.

Just five months after going public with their romance, Tao and Xu Yiyang have officially become husband and wife. On December 3, Tao shared a photo on his Weibo account holding their marriage certificate, captioning it with "Goal achieved." The marriage certificate, notable for its red color, is issued in China upon marriage, and Tao celebrated the occasion with emojis of a bride in a wedding dress and a groom in a tuxedo.
