Former Executive of Spire Entertainment Charged with Sexual Assault Against Omega X Members

A former executive of Spire Entertainment has been sent to the prosecution for charges of sexual assault against members of the K-pop group Omega X. On May 22, the Seoul Hyehwa Police announced that they had forwarded the case against individual A, a director at Spire Entertainment, to the prosecution without detention. Seven members of Omega X filed a complaint against A for sexual assault on August 7, 2023. The complaint reportedly details incidents from September 2022, during which A allegedly engaged in unwanted physical contact, such as hugging and linking arms with the members at an airport in South America while traveling to a performance. Previously, in March of last year, A accused member Hwichan of sexual assault, leading to Hwichan being sent to the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office in August 2022. Additionally, A is facing trial for assaulting a member, with a sentencing date set for July 10.
