Former BIGBANG Member Seungri Ventures into New Business Abroad

Seungri, the former member of the iconic K-pop group BIGBANG, has embarked on a new business venture overseas. A post titled 'Shocking Update on Former BIGBANG Member Seungri' circulated on online communities on December 24, showcasing a video of him dressed in a neat suit and glasses, appearing noticeably more relaxed and heavier than during his time with the group.

In the video, Seungri is seen meeting with international investors, seemingly preparing for a new business in Southeast Asia, including countries like Vietnam and Cambodia. Notably, among those he met was Jacob Arabo, the founder and creative director of the Swiss high-end watch brand J, which gained attention when BIGBANG's G-Dragon wore an 8.8 billion won ring at the MAMA Awards held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan.

Seungri initially rose to fame as a successful young entrepreneur under the 'Seung-tsby' concept after debuting with BIGBANG. However, in 2019, he was implicated in the Burning Sun scandal, facing serious allegations including prostitution, habitual gambling, and violations of various laws. He was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison and was released from Yeongju Correctional Institution in February.

Despite his release, Seungri has been spotted enjoying nightlife at clubs, which has sparked controversy. Recently, he faced backlash for allegedly stating he would bring G-Dragon to a club party in Cambodia. With his new business endeavors, many are questioning whether a Cambodian version of Burning Sun is on the horizon.
