FNC Entertainment, the agency representing the K-pop group P1Harmony, has released a statement regarding a legal matter involving Kiho's mother. On February 17, FNC clarified that a complaint was filed with the police last year, which concluded with no charges against her. However, due to a recent appeal from the victim, a re-investigation has commenced.
FNC emphasized that Kiho is not involved in this case and was unaware of the developments surrounding it. Despite this, Kiho's name has been mentioned multiple times on the victim's social media, leading to the victim clarifying misunderstandings and apologizing to the artist.
The agency stated, "If the investigation reveals any wrongdoing on the part of Kiho's mother, she will naturally face legal consequences. Separately, Kiho feels a sense of responsibility as a son and expresses his sincere apologies to those affected, committing to assist in resolving the issue."
FNC also urged the public to refrain from malicious rumors and unfounded attacks against the artist, acknowledging the distress caused by the situation involving the family of their artist. They expressed regret for any concern this incident may have caused to fans and the public.
Previously, Kiho's mother was accused of fraud and violations related to similar financial activities in March of last year. A representative from a film production company claimed that nearly ten individuals, including himself, were defrauded by her, with his personal losses amounting to approximately 1.1 billion KRW. At that time, FNC had stated that the claims were unilateral and unrelated to the artist's professional activities.
